First Visit to Dentist

We understand that the first dental visit in a new office at any age can be difficult for both the patient and the parent. But it doesn’t have to be that way! We want your child’s experience with us to be positive and enjoyable. During this first visit, you and your child should feel comfortable and our hope is to build trust for future dental appointments. Every child is different; so we tailor each visit to the individual child and guide him/her through their dental experience together with us.

Along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, we recommend that a child’s first visit to the dentist be scheduled by his/her first birthday. At this visit we will review your child’s medical and dental history with you. We will do a full comprehensive examination, review oral hygiene (brushing and flossing), clean the teeth and place topical fluoride as appropriate. Radiographs may be taken depending upon your child’s needs. Ours doctors and staff will explain everything to both you and your child so that we can all be on the same page and work together as a team to keep your child’s oral health as good as it can be! We encourage you to ask questions should you have any.
Please go through our website with your child so that she/he can see our doctors and staff and become familiar with who we are. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to call us or email us.

We are very excited and look forward to seeing you!
